First rung of AdventureCraft's four-tier metal progression (Manganese -> Steel -> Frosted Steel -> Dragon Scale). The official wiki describes Manganese as "softer than iron" -- weaker than Iron-tier gear, not roughly equal to it as an older fan-guide summary claimed; this entry now follows the official wording. Feeds the Steel recipe (1 Manganese Ingot + 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Coal = 1 Steel Ingot). Keywords are from viewing the block icon: a gray stone block with small dark speckled ore flecks, visually close to vanilla Iron Ore but darker/duller.
